Make a difference, get involved! Precinct caucus meeting info!

Each of us in SunCrest has been personally touched by recent legislation regarding school district boundaries and transpotation funds. It is in our best interest to be informed, educated and involved in the process of selecting delegates who will vote on the candidates running for office this year.

UT County Democratic Mass Meeting-
Tuesday, 3/25 at Alpine City Hall 20 N. Main, Alpine

UT County Republican Caucus-
Tuesday, 3/25 at Timberline Middle School 500 W. Canyon Crest, Alpine

SL County Republican Caucus-

SL County Democratic Mass Meeting-
Tuesday, 3/25 at Summit Academy 1285 E 13200 South, Draper

Why should I attend a party caucus and become a delegate?

By choosing the delegates who will attend county and state conventions, caucus attendees set the stage for all election races. By determining which candidates will represent their parties in the general election, party delegates can have a big influence over public policy.

Consider the following:

Since fewer people participate in caucuses and conventions than in a general election, your vote at these early stages can carry more weight.

A high general participation in party caucuses could mean that mainstream voters are better represented throughout the election process.

"The power of our state comes from people who are concerned about their government... Government is a personal responsibility. You are the greatest safeguard against depersonalized government and the antidote to apathy."

— Governor Jon Huntsman Jr. State of State Address 2008
