Bus Stop Procedures for Last Day of School
To Parents of Ridgeline Elem. Students,
First, I wanted to thank you for your cooperation with the new bus stop procedures (with the exception of a few incidents).
With these procedures, we have eliminated the safety issues and the School District Transportation Office, as well as our bus drivers, are very thankful.
So thank you! I also wanted to give a HUGE thanks to the dedicated volunteers who have served us so well.
I really appreciate their willingness to help.
The bus stop schedule for tomorrow, Friday, is different.
The bus pick up for the Elementary will be at 8:20am. So be sure to get there before entering traffic will be blocked off at 8:18am.
With school getting out at 10:15am the buses will be dropping our children back off at 10:45am.
I hope everyone enjoys their summer!
Sincerely,
Sarah Kocsis

SunCrestResidents.org Meeting this Tuesday
Don't forget! Our May meeting will be this Tuesday, May 27, at 8:00 P.M. at the park in The Cove. The gates will be open from 7:45-8:00. After that, I guess you'll have to just honk really loud and someone can let you in.
It's supposed to be partly cloudy, but we've been having more than our fair share of snow in SunCrest over the past couple of weeks, so wear a jacket just in case. Also, seating space at the picnic tables is limited, so bring chairs if you have them.
Important agenda items consist of a market update, an OA Board update, a calendar update, and a gathering of preliminary input on whether or not we should lobby the legislature to put SunCrest as a whole into Alpine District.
We aniticipate a relatively short meeting of only an hour. Come and have some fun with us!

What's up with the developer?
SunCrest LLC has filed for bankruptcy and is pulling out of SunCrest. However, there are several interested parties looking to purchase SunCrest, some local, some from out of state.
On June 16th SunCrest will go up for auction. There are 6-8 interested parties, and they will have to put up a one million dollar bond for the privilege to bid, to assure that only serious, qualified bidders are bidding.

Important School Split Transition Meetings for JSD
For those of you whose children attend Jordan School District, there is an important informational meeting tonight at Willow Springs Elementary at 7:00 pm.
The Education Transition Team is hosting these meetings for each feeder school system as a chance to hear what is happening and to ask questions about the new district. The previous meetings have been quite informative and I encourage you all to make one of the following:
May 1: Willow Springs Elementary, 13288 S. Lone Rock Drive, Draper
(Alta feeder schools)
May 7: Brighton High School cafeteria, 2220 E. Bengal Blvd., Cottonwood Heights (Brighton feeder schools)
May 15: Midvale Middle School, 7852 S. Pioneer Street, Midvale
(Hillcrest feeder schools)
The Mayor of each respective area should be present at each meeting. The information is the same at each meeting, so if you can't get to your feeder school meeting, attend another night.

Bankruptcy Notice
We have been receiving a lot of phone calls from residents wondering if they still have to pay their OA fees since the developer has gone bankrupt.
The answer is "yes". SunCrest LLC is the corporation that the national company Terrabrook established to manage the SunCrest project. SunCrest LLC has filed bankruptcy. However, the Owner's Association and the management company, CCMC are still fully functioning. They are the ones who collect the OA dues, arrange for lawn maintenance, snow removal, etc, and they are still here. The penalties for not paying your dues range from receiving a notice to putting a lien on your property, so keep sending in those dues.
There should be very little change in the day to day operations of SunCrest, and as residents, we are going to be impacted very little by the bankruptcy. SunCrest LLC was obligated to send notice to the residents, but that's pretty much all it is.
